it came as a shock.
my dear domestic helper was feeling super giddy last thurs night.. i thought it was due to her swollen gums on mon cus i brought her to see the dentist and she was still under antibotics. she was getting v dizzy but couldnt get herself up to see the doc. my younger bro got mom to called the agency and they advised to call ambulance immediately. so we did so and the paramedics came. she was unconscious. she was sent to A&E.. the whole process made mom stayed at the hospital.. meanwhile my grandaunt was also feeling giddy w her dizzy spells again.. we managed to call over to indonesia to inform her family, thru our malay neighbour. (see how good r/s we have over here..)
Mom told us she was at SGH so i drove down w ben.. upon reaching we couldnt find her.. called her and she asked the nurse which hosp it was.. its tan tock seng. omg. wasted quite a lot of time getting there.. we managed to leave the place at 2.30am...
hosp informed that she was in icu.. fri morning, (fortunately im on exam leave) we went to the hosp aft the nurse called.. she was already brain dead. the doc found out that she had leukemia. we were shocked. all the while she didnt really show any signs of sickness (not to mention she's rather big in size). doc says her heartbeat could stop anytime.. depending on god's will. they actually filed a police case cus she had bruises on her wrist but they didnt inform us till that morning! wth. as if we'd abuse her and mom said she was given the 'looks' when she sent her to hosp the previous night.
we stayed in hosp the whole day.. from starbucks (coffee and me muggin on my notes), to the food court, to the benches, to lvl1 seats.. basically roamed ard for short naps. dear lord has taken her away in the evening 6.48pm.. it was sad to see someone so young at the age of 32 to just leave like that.
saturday.. i was v tired already. mom had to go alone to the monchary.. police filed as natural death (like of course...) and the malay casket took over.. sending her back to indo and we packed her luggage. the maid agency did help us with the procedures.. but am still confused why didnt her initial check up show signs of any illness? hmm..
sunday after mass we headed to the agency to settle the remaining matters.. and we have to hire a new maid to take care of grandaunt at home.. Siti will come in on wednesday if everything goes smoothly. she's only 24 but can speak simple english... pray everything goes well from here..
i cant take much shocks anymore.
RIP henny. i'll miss u.
